Kay Spurny

Kay Baade Spurny, 87, of West Columbia passed from this life on Jan. 8, 2019 in Sugar Land. Kay was born on Nov. 9, 1931, the last child born in Gulf , Texas. She was the third daughter of Charles and Minnie Baade. She grew up and graduated high school in Boling, Texas, She married Robert Spurny in Iago, Texas on June 3, 1949. They were happily married for 67 years, until his death in February, 2017. She is preceded in death by her sister, June, and survived by her sister, Jo Ann and her son James & wife, Karen.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wharton . The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
