Kenith Joice, Sr.

Kenith Ray Joice, Sr., 90 of Brazoria, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, March 20, 2017. He was born on November 14, 1926 in Bay City, Texas to Johnie Ray and Emma (Whitley) Joice. After school, Kenith served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. Kenith retired with Phillips 66 after working there for 38 years. He loved hunting and fishing, gardening, and working on tractors and diesel trucks.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 24, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with John Price officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm until service time. Burial will follow at Sweeny Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Keith Shuffleberger, Daniel Dodd, Barney Lowery, Jim Hensley, and John David Joice. Honorary pallbearers are George "Mike" Mineau, Seon Waricke, Kenith Joice III, and Gary Matthews.

Kenith is survived by his son, Kenith Joice, Jr. and wife, Susan; daughter, Patsy Sue Joice; grandchildren, Susan Lewis, Jennifer Martin, Stephanie Joice, and Kenith R. Joice III; brother, Milton Joice; sister, Eva Nell Montgomery; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Noma Lee Joice; brothers, Marvin and Melvin Joice; and sister, Johnie Faye Falks.
