Kenneth Ray "Dids" Richardson, 88 of Wild Peach, Texas passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born December 13, 1929 in West Columbia, Texas to Volney Charles and Ethel Ivy (Dalton) Richardson. He was an equipment operator for Brazoria County Road and Bridge and served in the United States Navy as a seaman, apprentice. Dids was a charter member of Wild Peach VFD serving as their second fire chief.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with visitation beginning at 1:00pm until service time. Burial will follow at Colonial Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be the Wild Peach VFD members.
Dids is survived by his, wife, Shirley Baker; sons, Chuck Richardson and Richard Richardson; daughters, Patti Micham and Nettie Sue Wolfe; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Catherine DeLaune, Alta Mae Warneke, Frances Hutson and Elizabeth Jane Cooley, and brothers, John Marcus and Charles Samuel Richardson.
