Lillian Bennett

Lillian Rasmussen Bennett, 84 of Spring, Texas quietly passed away at Misty Willow Nursing home Monday, October 14, 2024. Born October 29, 1939, in Mobile Alabama to Genevieve and William Rasmussen, Lillian was the eldest of five children Billy, Douglas, Sonja and Larry. The family moved to the Gulf Coast of Texas where Lillian spent her life, marrying the boy next door, Raymond Morris Bennett Jr (Billy Ray), and raising two sons, Raymond Morris Bennett III and Gary Lee Bennett. A devoted wife and mother, Lillian was close and connected to her family and friends at Emmanual Baptist Church. 

 Lillian is survived by her son Ray and wife, Kirrilea Bennett of Tasmania, Australia, along with grandsons, Lachlan (Tasmania), Chase (Lake Jackson TX.) and Austin Bennett (Kentucky). She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray and her youngest son Gary Lee Bennett. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday October 22nd from 1-3 p.m. at C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr. West Columbia.  Graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Old Columbia Cemetery with Pastor Buddy Dudley officiating.
