It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa Ann Allen, a cherished wife, dedicated medical records transcriptionist, and a beloved member of the community. Lisa passed away on May 1, 2024, in Sugarland, TX, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will never be forgotten.
Born on April 28, 1960, in Lubbock, TX, Lisa spent her life spreading joy and warmth to all those around her. Her career at Sweeny Hospital spanned over 40 years, where she tirelessly served as a medical records transcriptionist, touching the lives of countless patients and colleagues with her professionalism and compassion.
Outside of her work, Lisa found immense joy in her hobbies and interests. She was a devoted member of the New Shores Church, where she found solace and community in her faith. Loved ones remember her for her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her husband fondly recalls how she adored "the bling," showcasing her vibrant personality and love for all things bright and beautiful.
Lisa is reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Joann (Barbee) and Bill Crumley. She is survived by her loving husband Billy W. Allen, who stood by her side through thick and thin. She also leaves behind her brother Preston Wiginton of Austin, TX; niece Gina Sousley and her husband Jason of Santa Clara, CE; nephew Sam McClain and his wife Terry of Brazoria; niece Belva McClain of Oyster Creek, TX; as well as a multitude of great nieces, nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who will continue to cherish her memory.
A visitation will be held on May 6, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia, TX. A graveside service will follow on May 7, 2024, at Sweeny Cemetery in Sweeny, TX from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
Lisa's light may have dimmed here on earth, but the warmth she radiated will forever glow in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace knowing she was truly treasured.
