Madie Jones

Madie Jones, 97, of Brazoria went to her heavenly home on April 6, 2017 in Sugar Land, Texas. She was born January 23, 1920 in Hallettsville, Texas to Silas and Viola New. Madie lived in Brazoria for over 60 years. She was a homemaker, a gardener, and quilter for many years.

She is survived by her 3 children, Donald (Olga) Schulte, Dorothy (Skeeter) Kersh and Kenneth (Donna) Jones, her 7 grandkids, Brenda (Doug) Lechtenberger, Sandy (Russell) Hammond, Ray (Connie) Kersh, Chad Kersh, Terri (Kory) McNeill, David (Nicole) Jones, Chris (Emily) Jones; great-grandkids, Mikaela Lechtenberger, Leslie Hammond, Brandi (KC) Martin, Dillon and Kassie Kersh, Trey and Peyton Kersh, Kenzie and Keely McNeill, Monique, Chase and Colton Jones and Lilly, Jax and Kenny Jones, great-great-granddaughter, Brayce Martin along with Patsy Jones and family.

She was preceded in death by son, Roy Tommy, step-son, Mickey Jones, and husband, James Jones. She was the last survivor of 11 children.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 9:00am until 10:00am at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with services following at 10:00am. Pastor Kenny James will be officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray and Chad Kersh, David Jones, Doug Lechtenberger, Dillon and Trey Kersh. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Jones and Malcolm New.
