Martha Bell

Martha Lu Foreman Bell, 68 of Brazoria, passed from this life on Dec. 1, 2020. She was born in Bay City, Texas on October 8, 1952 to Weldon & Lucile Foreman.

A lifelong resident of West Columbia, she graduated from Columbia High in 1971. She worked for Brazoria County for 21 years, retiring as the head clerk for Judge Sherry Kersh. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Floyd; daughter, Haley Bell; sons, Jeffrey Dodds & wife, Caprice, Bryan Dodds & wife, Elizabeth, and Jason Bell & wife, Heather; grandchildren, Zachary, Mikayla, Madisyn, Mason, Gavin, Tyler, Rhys, Griffin, Skyler, and Brayden; brother, Skipper Foreman; sister, Jackie Walker & husband, Scott; her favorite sidekick, Bo; her grand-dog, Bleu; numerous cousins, nieces & nephews and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, infant sister and son, Kevin Doyle Bell.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Martha’s name to Columbia United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 at 10 am at Columbia United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Kethley officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia from 6 pm until 8 pm.
