Max Lemaster

Max Wayne LeMaster, 67, of Sweeny passed away in Houston on Dec. 25, 2015. Max was born in Bay City to Max & Allia Mae LeMaster on Sept. 11, 1948.

Max was an endowed member of Old Ocean Masonic Lodge #1284 since 1975. He served as Worshipful Master from 1980 until 1981. Max served as Past High Priest of Columbia Chapter #34, Past Thrice Illustrious Master of Columbia Council #29, Past Commander of Litt S. Perry Commandery #111 & also received the Excalibur Award, Past Soverieng Master of Masonic Oak Council #323, Allied Masonic Degrees, Past President of the Southern Brazoria County Scottish Rite Club, 32 Degree, KCCH in Galveston Valley, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite; and Past Worthy Patron of Sweeny Chapter OES#873. He also received the Golden Trowel Award in 2005.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at 10:00 am at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Kenny James officiating. Visitation will be held on Tues. Dec. 29, 2015, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Barney Lowery, Francis Johnson, Bud Barber, John Woolsey, Ray Foote, & Chris Mott.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandra; daughter, Katherine Bosarge; sister Kathy Ann Kellis & husband, Johnny Carl; brothers, Franky Joe LeMaster & wife, Billie, Jimmy David LeMaster, & Larry Gilliam; grandchildren, Koelton Blake Bosarge, Logan Wayne Bosarge , Zoey Zahara Karr, Jaxon Ryder Karr; nieces, Kristin Sheffield & husband, Shain, Kendra & Karly Beech, Carrie LeMaster, Jo Ann LeMaster & husband, Brandon; nephews, Cody Beech & wife, Yolanda and David LeMaster & wife, Brandi; 3 Step Children; 13 Step Grandchildren; 10 Step Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and step father, H.P. Gilliam.
