Melanie Kallina

Melanie Renee Shows Kallina, 55 of Sweeny, Texas passed away Monday, September 4, 2017. She was born January 5, 1962 in Houston, Texas to Bobby Ray and Wendy Joan (Riley) Shows. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother of four, and grandmother of ten. Melanie was an avid animal rescue crusader and spent much of her time volunteering with several rescue organizations. She treasured her many years at the front desk of Bay City Veterinary Clinic and Equine Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Pastor John Price officiating. Burial will follow at Sweeny Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening, September 8, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm also at Baker Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Montgomery Carreon, Jason Goyer, Chris Radcliffe, Toby Shows, Taylor Westberg and Steven Kallina.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Michael Kallina; daughters, Lori Beth Carreon and Husband, Montgomery; Jessica Marie Goyer and husband, Jason; Rachel Diana Westberg; Wendy Darlene Radcliffe and husband, Chris; mother, Wendy Wallis and husband, Robert; father, Bobby Ray Shows and wife, Regina; brother, Toby Shows and wife, Adela; grandchildren, LCpl Taylor Michael Westberg, Olivia Lindgrin, Jordan Lindgrin, Jackson Owens, Isaiah Chavez, Collin Lindgrin, Cash Carreon, Avery Radcliffe, Emileigh Radcliffe, Baron Carreon, Conner Kallina; step-sons, Steven Kallina and wife, Felicia, Shaun and Seth Kallina; step-brother, Keith Wallis; step-sister, Wendy Hinds and also by niece, Abby Shows.
