Michael Nettles

Michael Victor Nettles, 67, of Brazoria passed from this life on March 28, 2017 in Houston. He was born in Houston, Texas to Victor & Blanche Nettles on April 19, 1949. Michael was raised near the mouth of the San Bernard River where his parents ran a country store. He graduated from Sweeny High School and worked for Phillips Petroleum Company in the garage and as a lab tech. He retired at the age of 59. He loved riding motorcycles and fishing. He also loved his knife collection, but most of all he loved his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until service time. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Serafin Sanchez, Bobby Smith and Alan Hanna.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vicki; sons, Tanner Nettles & girlfriend, Holly Darone and Noah Nettles & wife, Aubrey; brother, Dennis Nettles; mother in law, Betty Woodard; grandchildren, Trentyn, Sebastian, Slade & Jordyn; brother in law, Barry Woodard; nieces, Lindsey, Ashley, and Kaleigh. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Nettles; brother, David Nettles.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael's name to the American Heart Association.
