Michael W. Mears, affectionately known as "Thump," was born on June 20, 1989, in Galveston, Texas. He departed this world on December 25, 2024, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Michael lived a life full of passion and excitement. He was an adrenaline junkie at heart, known for his exuberant spirit and zest for adventure.

Michael had an unwavering love for race cars and was a dedicated fan of the NHRA circuit, often attending events and sharing his enthusiasm with anyone lucky enough to be by his side. Not only was he a motorsports enthusiast, but he also held the Dallas Cowboys close to his heart, embodying the spirit of a true fan. Despite these passions, nothing was more important to Michael than his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, embodying the role of a devoted husband, son, brother, and uncle.

He was a supportive brother to Jessica Pate, Cory Mears and his wife Kelcee, Rory Mears and his wife Autumn, and April Carrasquillo and her husband Ben, Samantha Aldrich and Jerrel Aldrich.. His siblings shared countless memories, laughter, and love with him that will forever be cherished.

Each of them carries a piece of Michael in their hearts, as he was a fun-loving uncle who cherished every moment with his family.
