Morris Cloudt

Morris Cloudt passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2018, just three months shy of his 91st birthday. He was born July 23, 1927 to Freddie & Lena Cloudt in Seguin, Texas. He lived in the Damon area most of his life.

Dad enjoyed taking care of the family homestead and raising cows outside of Damon; attending the local county opry shows with Mom and their friends; spending time attending his grandchildren's activities; and fishing. He and Mom were married for 68 great years. He worked for Dow Chemical as a material handler/coordinator for 42 years. He and Mom have been members at Bethel Presbyterian Church in East Columbia for 56 years, where he served as a deacon, elder and Sunday school superintendent.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel (Foytik) Cloudt; sons Gary (Rhonda) Cloudt , Steven (Charla) Cloudt, and daughter in law Susan (Cloudt) Cunningham; brother Roy (Joyce) Cloudt; sisters-in - law Ellen Foytik, Sandra Foytik and Delores Cunningham; seven priceless grandchildren, Brandon (Amy) Cloudt, Christa Cloudt (Michael Felix), Adam (Amanda) Cloudt, Stephanie (Jesse) LaCour, Andrew (Tiffany) Cloudt, Kevin (Amanda Geither) Cloudt, and Katie (Garrett) Lincecum; plus seven precious great grandchildren, Cayla Cloudt, Caden Cloudt, Lanah LaCour, Jordan LaCour, Hayden Cloudt, Milena Cloudt, and Emma Sue Cloudt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Lena Cloudt; twin sons Keith and Kevin Cloudt, and son Dr. Morris Allen Cloudt, DC.

Pallbearers are Brandon Cloudt, Adam Cloudt, Andrew Cloudt, Kevin Cloudt , Jesse LaCour, and Garrett Lincecum. Honorary pallbearers are his long time buddies, Doc Darnell, Bobby Zumwalt, Jean Hartfield, David Gruener, and Bobby Johnston.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 9, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church in East Columbia followed by interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in West Columbia.
