Nancy Mullins

Nancy Ruth Mullins, 85, of Sweeny passed from this life at her home surrounded by her loving family on January 10, 2016. She was born in New Gulf, TX to Carl Allen and Ruth Thompson on May 12, 1930.

Nancy was a telephone operator and also organized cancer awareness programs for breast cancer survivors and also helped organize the USS Boxer TX/LA reunions. She was active in Sweeny Hospital Pink Ladies, UMW, Emmaus and Past President of Sweeny Civic Club.

Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Sweeny on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Nancy Cobbs officiating. Visitation will be at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia on Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons, Todd Reeves, Nolan Mullins, Dallas Mullins, Cody Mullins, Evan Mullins, and Curtis Teichman. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Thompson and Bill McNeil.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roy; sons, Mike Mullins and wife, Trish, Tim Mullins and wife, Crystal, and Kelly Mullins and wife, Jodina; brother, Bill Thompson and wife, Pat; grandchildren, Todd, Renee, Nolan, Dallas and wife, Melanie, Cody and wife, Mandy, Evan and wife, Cameron, and Jacy; great grandchildren, Curtis, Tucker, Tanner, Parker and Easton.

She is preceded in death by her parents and baby Mullins.
