She fought the good fight. She kept the faith and on early Wednesday morning, October 27, 2021, our heavenly Father took His faithful servant by the hand and escorted her home.
Nola Charlene “Hootie” Fischer, 85 years old, a long-term resident of Brazoria quietly passed from this life only to be reunited with long awaiting friends and loved ones. She was born on August 15, 1936 to William Pete and Eunice Weeks in Sweeny, TX where she grew up and graduated from Sweeny High. While working as a waitress in Bay City, TX she met and married the “love of her life” K. E. “Yankee” Fischer and was married for 27 blessed years.
She was the loving mother of Deborah Freeman (Kenny), Darlene Friudenberg (James), James Fischer (Wanda) and to Timothy Fischer and Denise Fischer whom both predeceased her. She had 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She loved playing the piano, cooking, gardening, reading the Bible and attending church. She was loved by many and passed that love onto others.
With grateful hearts we extend warm thanks to Bully and Violet Weeks and Divinity Hospice team for their gentle and loving care they provided.
