Norma Foster

Norma Novella Bear Foster, 88, of Brazoria, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021, in Alto, Texas. She was born August 27, 1933, in Lampasas, Texas to the late Maggie Novella (Reynolds) and Norman Merle Bear.

Norma attended the Brazoria schools, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brazoria. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cooking, sewing, and gardening.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank Foster, sisters Mary Rogers, Madge Montgomery, and brother Ed Bear.

She is survived by her daughters Lynda Hassell and husband Jim of Alto, Texas, Jana Mears and husband Ricky and son Tommy Foster of Brazoria, Texas; grandchildren Christy Winfrey and husband Marlin of Rusk, Texas, Tammi Vasquez and husband Tito, Kelli Pate and husband Josh and Cody Mears all of Brazoria, Texas; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in the chapel of C.T. Baker and Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Odis Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Brazoria Cemetery.
