Peggy Simmang

Peggy Fay Simmang, 63, of Damon passed from this life at the home of her daughter on July 31, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving and faithful family. She was born in Ledbetter, Texas to Frank & Erna Els on October 3, 1951. She was baptized in Carmine at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in 1952. She attended Giddings High School and graduated in 1970. Peggy lived in Bryan for a short time and then moved back to Giddings, from there she moved to Richmond in 1997. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stephen Simmang & wife, Michelle and Stephanie Fojtik & husband, Quentin; brother, Glenn Els & wife, Pearly; sisters, Shirley Hart, Marilyn Lerche & husband, Randall, Sharon Proske & husband, Otis, & Karon McCoy; grandchildren, William, Taryn & Trevor Fojtik & Lucas Simmang, numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David Franklin, Billy Roy, & Bobby Els; and special friend, Don Marquart. Funeral services will be held on Tues. August 4, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church of Rosenberg 1400 Radio Ln Rosenberg, Texas 77471 with Pastor Rhonda Detenbeck officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will follow at Ledbetter Cemetery in Ledbetter, Texas at 3:00 pm on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
