Pete Smirch

Pete "Dido" Smirch, 81, of Brazoria, passed from this life on Monday, February 4, 2019 in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was born on October 2, 1937 in Premuda, Croatia to Valentin Smircic and Ljubica (Nani) Lovrincic-Smircic.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 am Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Freeport with Father Sebastine Okoye officiating. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Pete is survived by his wife, Amanda Sue Smirch; children, Tonya Crook of Brazoria, JoJo Smirch (Shelli) of Jones Creek, Jeff Smirch of Lake Jackson, and Tina Coufal (Kevin) of Lake Jackson; brother, Angelo Smircic (Clide Dean); sister, Tina Mezulic; grandchildren, Bryan and Jennifer Crook, Rachel and Chris Perkins, Nathan Smirch, Austin and Emily Smirch, Shelby Smirch and Cody Blanchard, Corbin Coufal, Kelsey Coufal and Joseph Evans; along with great-grandchildren, Evan, Tyler, and Alyssa Crook, Reid and Grant Perkins, Riley Creech, and Wyatt Blanchard.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jeffrey Smirch; son-in-law, Scott Crook; brother-in-law, Viko Mezulic; and uncle, Joe Smirch.
