Reginald (Rex) Keller, 88, of Sweeny passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2022, at his residence. He was born July 26, 1933, in Midfield, Texas to the late Lois (Coffin) and L.A. Keller.
Rex graduated from Sweeny High School in 1951 and then joined the United States Army from 1955 until 1957. Rex enjoyed fishing, working with his hands, gardening, and taken care of his fruit trees.
He married his wife, Exa Mae on December 17, 1954, and they were married for over 57 years before she went home to be with the Lord. After losing his wife, he continued their shared love of dancing with many of his sweet friends.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, wife Exa Mae Keller, son Craig Keller, sister Sue Keller, and brother Kerry Keller.
Rex is survived by his son Lane Keller of Sweeny, granddaughter Randa Robinson and husband Chris of Marshall, TX. and their four children Keller, Karleigh, Kolton, and Kolby; granddaughter Amy Keller of Texas City and grandson Preston Keller and his two girls Maci and Rylan.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, in the chapel of C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Jerl Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in Sweeny Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Keith Bland, Joey Bland, Richard Hood, Seth Chambliss, Larry Jensen, and Walter Hood.
