Long Time Brazoria County Resident Roger Frank Livingston passed away on December 15, 2024

at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

Roger Livingston was born on September 21st 1953 in Refugio Texas to Bennie and Betty Livingston. 

The family moved to West Columbia in 1957 where Roger attended school and was famously known for 

having a pet Crow (Joe the Crow) who attended school with him. Roger

excelled in football, helping his team go all the way to state. While in high school, Roger and a

 few friends started a band where Roger played the drums. In 1973 Roger joined the Army and

was stationed in Kirch-Gons, Germany as a rifleman with the Company B, 3rd Battalion, 36th

Infantry, 3rd Armored division. He also participated in the 58th Annual 4-day international march

in the Netherlands that still goes on to this day. In Rogers late 20’s he would have two children

Kristian and Joseph Livingston. Roger soon became a staple in Construction industry as a crane

operator and this would lead to the family traveling all around California but later in life landing

them back in Brazoria County. Roger continued his construction career for many years in the

local Chemical Plants and was a long-time employee with Infinity that is now Woodman.

 In Rogers adult years he had many loves, his family, fishing (which he considers himself the Bass

Master), his 1923 Ford Tbucket, being a member of the CCBC car club, Fish fry’s and spending

time with family and friends. If you were to ask anyone about Roger, they would say he was a

one of a kind, and always a good time.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents Bennie and Betty Livingston, Bother in-law Paul Henry

Clayton Jr. Family to carry his legacy on is his daughter Kristian Livingston DeGroote and husband Jason

DeGroote of Deer Trail, Co. Son Joseph Livingston and wife Anna of Rosharon Tx. Sister Paulette

Clayton of Round Rock, Tx. Brother Johnny Livingston and wife Rhonda of Sweeney, Tx. 4

nephews and 3 nieces. 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Roger has gone to his eternal home to rest in peace, comfort and fish all day. We love you and

will miss you deeply forever. Serving as his pallbearer will be his grandson, Bryce Belanger.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Nephew Darren Clayton, Nephew P.K. Clayton, Nephew Quentin Livingston, Nephew Michael Livingston, Brother Johnny Livingston, Grandson Nolan Livingston. Grandson Derek Lemgruber, Grandson Rolando Mata and Son in law Jason DeGroote.

Relatives and friends are invited a gathering to celebrate the life of Roger on Saturday January 4, 2025 from 12-1 p.m. at C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr. His memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow with full military honors at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery, West Columbia.
