Ronald Whitt

Ronald William Whitt, 71 of West Columbia passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 in Bay City, TX. He was born March 14, 1946 in Freeport, Texas to Laban Whitt, Jr. and Annie (Rogers) Whitt. He was a mechanic and a member of WCVFD for over 35 years and retired from Phillips 66 after many years of service.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Johnny Duque officiating burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00am until noon also at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Serving as pallbearers will be Caleb Barr, Charles Glisch, Winston Sinor, Lamar Qualls, Terry Minshew and Gary Hardcastle. Honorary pallbearers will be Colt Barr, Jay Barr, Uncle Dub Rogers, Mike Hagaman, Bill Weatherford, Sr., Jerry West and the members of the WCVFD.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Whitt, daughter, Anna Marie Barr and husband, Jay; grandchildren, Caleb William Barr and Colt Haden Barr; uncle, Burton "Dub" Rogers and aunt, Ruth Richardson along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Neil Whitt and sisters, Norma Glisch, and Glinda Whitt. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to CEMS and WCVFD.
