Thomas Joseph Aucoin, 71, of Lake Jackson passed from this life on March 4, 2019 in Brazoria. He was born in Port Arthur to Walter & Mildred( Anderson) Aucoin on March 1, 1948.
Tom, Daddy Tom, Paw, the man of many names passed away shortly after being diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer.
He was a dad, paw and a great friend to many. He is remembered by his family as someone who never met a stranger and a devoted dad and paw to his son and two granddaughters. He was a big supporter of everything his granddaughters did, especially at the soccer field. Tom worked at The Source Weekly for over 18 years and considered them as part of his family. You could find him Fourth of July and New Years at his fireworks stand at Churchill Grocery. He looked forward to these holidays where he would get to see all the many customers he had grown to love over the past 20 years.
He is survived by his son and best friend, Wade Aucoin; daughter in law, Kendra; granddaughters, Maci and Tori Aucoin; sister, Becky Reneau and husband, Mike; brother in law, Gary Smith; many nieces and nephews, along with many close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mildred Aucoin; and sisters, Patti Aucoin and Sonja Smith.
His family is at comfort knowing that he is now at peace with his Heavenly Father listening to Jimmy Buffett, enjoying life eternally.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Pastor Scott McKay of Willow Church officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tom's name to the charity of your choice.
