Timothy G. Ryerson

Timothy Gilbert Ryerson, born on March 11, 1947, in Fargo, North Dakota, passed away on September 19, 2024, in Missouri City, Texas. He was a cherished husband, a dedicated family man, and a respected member of his community.

Timothy devoted nearly 40 years of his professional life as an Analytical Chemist for Conoco Phillips, where his expertise and commitment to his work allowed him to build lasting friendships with colleagues. His educational background included a Master's degree in Chemistry, underlining his passion for science and the pursuit of knowledge.

In addition to his successful career, Timothy served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he earned an Honorable Discharge, marking a significant chapter of his life marked by service and dedication.

Family was of utmost importance to Timothy. He loved his wife, Carolyn (Phillips) Ryerson, deeply and took great pride in his numerous stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought joy and richness to his life. He also cherished his relationships with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, ensuring that his legacy of love and kindness would continue through them.

Timothy was known for his warm personality, a reflection of his deep faith and love for his family. His interests included going for walks, staying updated on current trends and politics through his phone, and indulging his sweet tooth. These simple pleasures underscored the joy he found in the everyday moments of life.

A Visitation will be held on October 5, 2024, at the First Methodist Church of Sweeny in Sweeny, Texas, beginning at 10:00 AM followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Timothy will then be interred at Sweeny Cemetery at 12:00 PM.

Timothy Gilbert Ryerson will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
