Wesley Kyle Shanks, left his earthly home for a heavenly one at the age of 40, due to natural causes on Monday, February 21, 2022. Wesley was born June 20, 1981, in Freeport, Texas.
He is survived by his parents Sandy and Galen Shanks of Wild Peach, TX, Brother Michael and Wife, Cassie Shanks and niece and nephew Kenzie and Gavin of Tomball, TX.
If you knew Wesley, you knew his love for books whether at the deer lease, breaks at work, or at home for a relaxing weekend. He enjoyed gaming with friends and sci-fi movies were some of his greatest past times. Wesley’s greatest joy was his niece and nephew Kenzie and Gavin. Wes loved playing with them as often as he could. He was very dedicated to his security jobs and to help people whenever he could. A trait of being a Shanks was he loved laughing and playing jokes on people, especially his brother Michael and there would always be a pay back sooner or later. He got his love for hunting from his father and grandad. Wesley was a joy to be around and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Wesley’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in the chapel of C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Moore officiating in West Columbia.
The family asks lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The American Stroke Association at stroke.org.
