Weston James Phillips went to join his heavenly father on Saturday, June 18, 2016 surrounded by numerous family and friends he touched during his seven years with us. Weston was born to Kailey Holian of Needville, TX and James ‘Tony' Phillips of Damon, TX on February 12, 2009 in Richmond, TX.
Weston is survived by his loving parents Kailey Holian, Tony Phillips and fiancé Miranda Escamilla; big sister Ava Marie Phillips; Grandparents Nicola ‘Gia' and Mark ‘Bippy' Holian of Needville, TX, JoAnn ‘Nahnie' and Matt Kubena of Sweeny, TX, and Dedra and Pat ‘Papa' Phillips of West Columbia, TX; Great-Grandparents Maria and Michael ‘Grampy' Parnell of Richmond, TX and Josie ‘Gramz' Flores of Angleton, TX; Aunt Emily ‘Emma' Holian, Uncle James Holian, Uncle Liam Holian, and Aunt Jamie ‘Mame' and Uncle Phillip Urbanek; and numerous other great aunts and uncles, cousins, family, and friends who loved Weston more than words can express.
Weston was preceded in death by Great-Grandparents Joseph and Doris Holian of Cranford, NJ, Joe G. Flores of Angleton, TX, and Ethel Joyce and Oliver ‘Wink' Phillips of West Columbia, TX.
Weston will be most remembered for his love of Thomas the Tank Engine, lining up his toy cars, a warm bowl of mac-n-cheese, spaghetti, or popcorn, jamming to "The Second Star to the Right" from Peter Pan and the "Phonics Song", but most of all, how a quick look from his big beautiful brown eyes and side smirk would touch your heart forever.
In difficult times as this, we look to God's word to comfort our heart... Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."
In true Weston form, he continues to touch lives in the most profound way. Through organ donation, Weston gave the greatest gift of life to seven individuals across the U.S., from Texas, Arizona, Florida, and Wisconsin, ranging from ages one to fifty years old.
A celebration of Weston will be Friday, June 24, 2016 at Creekside Christian Fellowship Church in Needville at 10:00am. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Standing beside Weston as pallbearers, are Darren Parnell, Steve Parnell, Perry Brooks and Joe Flores, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Autism Speaks, 1060 State Rd 2nd Fl, Princeton, NJ 08540 or you can access Weston's personal tribute page at the following link: http://events.autismspeaks.org/faf/home/ by clicking "Find a Tribute" and searching Tribute Name "wildaboutweston".
