William Edwards

William C. Edwards, known by friends and family as “Charlie” or “Hollywood”, 72, beloved Husband, was called to his eternal resting place on July 8, 2020. He entered this world on December 14,1947 in Madera, CA.

He is preceded in death by Jack and Ova Edwards and his 2 brothers. He is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa “Terri” Edwards; his stepchildren, Dede Lemons, John Hattaway, and Barbra Lopez; and his son-in-law, Gerberth Lopez; in addition to his half stepchildren, Taylor Hattaway and Morgan Homniok. “PawPaw” Charlie” also left behind grandchildren, Ronnie and Ruby Lemons, Grant Hattaway, and Lina, Diana and Tiago Lopez; as well as caring sisters-in-law, Carmen Barnes and Angie Bowling; along with his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Anita Toler.

Charlie served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict where he trained dogs to detect ambush and track enemy forces. Charlie enjoyed motorcycles, hot rods and the fine art of repairing, trading or selling anything with a motor. He worked as a welder, taking jobs nationally and internationally.

A memorial service will be held on 11:00 am Monday, July 20, 2020 at C. T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia.
