Woody Nall, 72, of Brazoria, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019. He was born in Lubbock, Texas, on February 17, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents, Derwood and Imogene Nall, his infant sister Sammye Jeanne Nall, and daughter, Gina Nall.
He grew up in Levelland and Brownfield, Texas graduating from Brownfield High School in 1965. He lived in Kenai, Alaska for 25 years and work for British Petroleum Exploration in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska as a production operator for 29 years. He retired in 2014. He loved to coach baseball, watch football, fish and host guests from out of state while living in Alaska. He was beloved by all who knew him and his co-workers thought the world of him.
He lived the last 20 years of his life in Brazoria, Texas with his loving wife, Linda Kay Nall. Linda played the piano and Woody loved to sing, so they shared a love for music. They were active in their church choir together and loved traveling to Mexico for vacations. They were truly best friends.
Woody loved food, farkle and cooking for others. He was known for brisket, baked beans and gourmet food. His laugh was infectious and he always had a smile on his face. He brightened everyone's day. Everyone who knew him loved him. He is dearly missed.
Woody is survived by Linda Kay Nall, his wife; Linda's son Chuck Brookey and his wife Stephanie; Linda's granddaughter Bobbie Kay Brookey; son Chad Nall and his wife Deana; granddaughters Julia and Jenna Nall; brother Mark Nall, his wife, Jill and their family.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Brazoria.
