Zelda Wisch

Zelda Baldree Wisch, age 81, of Sweeny, Texas peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Zelda was born on January 31, 1936 in Broaddus, Texas to H. N. and Margaret Baldree. She graduated from Brazosport High School in 1954 and soon met her husband of 62 years. Zelda married William (Bill) Henry Wisch of West Columbia, Texas on September 26, 1954. Zelda and Bill had four children.

Zelda was a vibrant and loving woman. She was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, sister, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed reading, music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

Zelda Wisch is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Sharon Wisch Williams.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Wisch; brother, Ray Baldree and wife, Linda; daughters, Diana Wisch Scalise and Theresa Wisch; son, William (Billy) Henry Wisch, Jr. and wife, Paulette; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Funeral services will be Monday, July 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in West Columbia with Donald Hintze and Buddy Dudley officiating. Burial will follow at the family cemetery in Sweeny, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zelda's name to IPH Hospice.
